April 2011 - April 2011 At GSP South West Working Test:Puppy 2nd was David Burdens Deepthatch Pippa and 4th was Simone Cunliffe-Lister's Deepthatch Piermon. In Open David Burden's Deepthatch Newmoon was 1st.

March 2010 - 21st March 2010 We are devastated to have lost our Beloved Lexi as the result of a tragic accident. As Jim was setting up a Viszla test she went on point and as she flushed the bird a car came up a road where there is usually no traffic. She stood no chance at all. She was such a wonderful dog both at home, in the ring and out in the field. She was just 6 years old. Many Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

March 2010 - 14th March 2010 We are very proud to say that Lexi won the Field Trial Bitch Class at Crufts judged by Brenda Smith (Dallyvista)

October 2009 McHaffie s Deepthatch Noble Destiny won the Gundog Working Certificate on Game October 2009. He was 2nd at the Bracco Working Test judged by Sue and Alan Parr

January 2010 - 12th January 2010 Dukeries (Notts) Gundog Club held an Open Field Trial Stake. Out of 12 Runners only 2 dogs were successful. Lexi was awarded a Certificate of Merit. It was held at Hoar Park Craft Village in Nuneaton. Judges were P Pearson and John Tindell.

20th November - At Laverstoke working Test on 20/9/09 Lexi was placed 3rd and New Moon and Miss Daisy were joint 6th.

On 21/10/09 Lexi won the All age Field Trial Stake at Suffolk and Norfolk Gundog Club. Judges were Mr C Snelling and Mr F Alcock

August 1st 2009 - A fantastic result for Deepthatch Nouvelle Lexi. At National Gundog she won Limit Bitch and was awarded the Bitch Challenge Certificate, judged by Barbara Stamp.

At GSPA Pointing Test on Grouse in Yorkshire, Lesley Keates' Deepthatch Odeuska was awarded Very Good and also Ziggy, was awarded Very Good.

June 2010 - At Italian Spinone Working Test in June Deepthatch New Moon was 1st in Open and Nouvelle Lexi was 4th.

At Viszla test in Cornbury New moon won the Open Working Test and was 3rd in Open at the Open Test, South West Group.

March 2009 - 15th March Deepthatch Odeuska won her Gundog Working Certificate on Game/Grouse at Reeth Moors. Aged just 20 months old. Judges were A Wilson-Young and S Lound

CRUFTS 2009 - Deepthatch Nouvelle Lexi is placed 3rd in Field Trial Bitch. Deepthatch Miss Daisy placed 3rd in Special Working Gundog bitch. They were judged by Breed Specialist Val Grant

January 2009 - 20th Jan. Lexi awarded Certificate of Merit at Dukeries ,all ages Field Trial. The only GSP to be placed. Judges were Penny Simpson and Godfrey Card.

Lexi wins 2nd place Field Trial and Guns award at the Weimaraner Club (No 1st place awarded) Judges were Eddie Hales and Lester Anderson.


4th December - At Cannock ,Aklinda Siguelinda won the Field Trial. Judged by M Nixon and E Kania.

12th November - A successful day at Gundog Breeds of Scotland with Lexi winning the Field Trial Stakes Class under Keith Groom and Daniel winning Junior and Novice Dog under Breed Specialist Sue Ashcroft.

At the recent GSPA show Daniel won 2 first places under Ruth Martin and Lexi won Field Trial at the same show.

At the GSPC show Daniel also won 2 classes under Chris Bexon.

2nd August 2008 - Lexi is 2nd in Limit Bitch and Deepthatch Odeuska 3rd in Junior under Breed Specialist Jenny Jennings at National Gundog.

July 2008 - On 27th July the GSPA held a Grouse Pointing test. Deepthatch Odeuska (Keates) was graded good, aged 13 months. Lesley Keates' other bitch Alkinda Sieglinda was also graded good.

At the CLA Game Fair there was a HPR Working Test, 20 entered, 4 reserves. This was won by David Burdens Deepthatch Newmoon. Miss Daisy was 5th and Lexi 4th reserve so did not get a run. Lexi did however perform well each day in the Arena with GWPs showing working on game, pointing. The pigeon was released and she was steady to shot. She was also finding dummies, seen and blind.

On 19th July the GSPC Sussex Working Test was won by Deepthatch Newmoon.

10th July 2008 Deepthatch Odeuska wins BPIB at Devon and Cornwall Open Show under Tom Mather.

21st June 2008 Deepthatch New Moon is placed 5th in Open in the Italian Spinone 10th Anniversary Working Test. An enjoyable day followed by a Pig Roast for all. Deepthatch Nouvelle Lexi was 3rd from 20 in Graduate, handled by Ruby.

4th June 2008 Deeptatch New Moon wins 2nd in Open at the Norfolk Working Test.

1st June 2008 Update on our recent successes. Deepthatch Odeuska won Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed at Southern Counties Champ show under breed specialist Alan Small. At the same show, Days Deepthatch O'Daniel and Rumbles Deepthatch Oregano were placed 2nd in Puppy Dog and Junior Dog. All now qualified for Crufts 2009. At the Viszla Working Test Deepthatch New Moon was 4th in a very strong and competitive open class with 20 entries.Deepthatch New Moon won the Graduate class and was placed 2nd in Open at the Durley Working Test

23rd March 2008 Deepthatch Miss Daisy was placed 2nd in the Open Working test and New Moon placed 6th

8th March 2008 THANK YOU TO ALL THE EXHIBITORS FOR PRESENTING THEIR DOGS TO ME AT CRUFTS 2008. I HAD A MOST ENJOYABLE DAY, ALBEIT A TIRING ONE.

2nd March 2008 Lexi was graded excellent at the GWP Pointing test on Partridge. The only one entered to be graded so high on the day. This is the highest award that can be achieved.

26th October 2007 At Midland Counties Champ Show , Lexi is placed 2nd in a large Post Graduate Bitch Class. The Judge was Larry Wilkes (Arany).

23rd September 2007 Victory at Loton Park, Shrewsbury. At the HPR International 2 Day Working Test, the event was won by the English Team. Miss Daisy was handled by Jim Field.

1st September 2007 Jim and I are heartbroken to announce that we have lost our Beloved Dusty (Deepthatch Lovesong) at 12 years old. She died peacefully in her sleep. Dusty was an amazing girl who played a huge part in our lives as a superb working dog, show dog and above all a Wonderful Companion. We shall miss her.
